How to Connect Redmi Watch 5 Active to Phone

1. Download the Mi Fitness app on Google Play. Search it on Google Play Store or you can scan the QR code of the app on the user manual.

2. On the smartwatch pick the language that you want to user, there are several languages that are available on the smartwatch.

3. Open the app, and agree to the User Privacy Policy

4. Tap on Start, and agree to the Terms and Conditions. This includes the User Agreement and Privacy Policy. The User Experience section, is optional.

5. Select your Region, and Tap Next,

6. You will now proceed to the Dashboard, there are four menus, Health, Workout, Device, Profile.

7. To add your wearable, tap on Device, then you can choose “Add Device” or “Scanner“.

8. Once you Tap on Add Device, there will be several permissions that will pop-up. The following permissions are:

  • Request to Locate Phone
  • Wants to Turn on the Bluetooth

9. The app will now search for the Smartwatch, if the Redmi Watch 5 Active appear on the search dashboard, Tap on it.

10. Before you can pair the smartwatch, the app will ask you to Sign in with your account.

“This feature requires signing in to Xiaomi Account. sign-in Now?”

You have an option to Agree or DisAllow the Permissions

11. Sign-in via SMS or your Xiaomi Account, or Google Account

12. Once you Tap on the smartwatch, it will try to connect, Pair, and Add Account to the Mi Fitness app.

13. A notification on your phone and smartwatch asking to confirm the connection between the two devices, tap to pair it.

After pairing, the Mi Fitness app will ask for permission on:

  • Receive Notifications without delay
  • Promptly Receive incoming calls
  • Sync Data in Real Time
  • Get swift responses from Voice Assistant

14. The smartwatch will also ask to Turn on Notifications, this includes App Notifications, Allow Contacts to incoming calls, sync system information. It will also ask to sync your Fitness Routine.

15. After a successful connection, your smartwatch is now paired with the support app Mi Fitness application.

Note: When you are paired with the support app, you have now an option to change the settings of your phone.
