Xiaomi Smartband 9 Global Version Update – Adds Calendar, EMOJI Support
The new Xiaomi Smartband 9 Global version just received an OTA Update, Over the Air update. Updating its HyperOS from version 2.0.57 when it was released to version 2.1.72. The Chinese version also receive an OTA update updating the 1.1.71 version to 1.1.178 citing bug fixes.
Going back to the Xiaomi Smartband 9 Global version, the new update to HyperOS added support for calendar features that was only available for Chinese version, and there is also an added support for emoji. The file is a bit big, and it involves multiple features according to Xiaomi, it may take a while to download.

Please take note that when you want to update your device, make it sure that it is more than 80% charge as sometimes it take a while to fully download and sync the new update to your Xiaomi Smartband 9.

How to Update Xiaomi Smartband 9 Global Version?
- Open the Mi Fitness App
- Tap on Device
- Tap on Update
- If there is an update, the update dashboard will show the new version, and ask you to download the software, and sync with your device. If there is no update, it will prompt, your device is up to date.
Please take note, that when you are updating your device, you will not be able to use your smartband, especially if the device is already in sync with the Mi fitness app.
During our update, it took several times, as the download, and synchronization fails several times. If you experienced failed download, and synchronization, just do the above steps again until, you have a stable connection to the Xiaomi server for downloading the new update.
