When it comes to difference on specifications, Xiaomi Smartband 9 is lighter at about 15.8g compared to the Smartband 8’s 27g, features a brighter AMOLED display with a brightness of up to 1200 nits versus the Smartband 8’s 600 nits, and includes a linear motor for vibration.
The Smartband 9 also has upgraded wireless connectivity with Bluetooth 5.4, a larger 233mAh LiPo battery, and supports more system languages (Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, English) compared to the Smartband 8. Additionally, the Smartband 9 is compatible with Android 8.0 and above, while the Smartband 8 supports Android 6.0 and above.
